  Team Lease Services, a staffing solutions company and Indian Institute of Job Training (IIJT), a vocational skills training company, organised a job fair for youth in Bangalore on January 21 at the IIJT, MG Road, Malleshwaram and Jayanagar centers. The job fair was conducted with an aim to connect job aspirants with employers, assessment counsellors and training professionals.
Companies like Linkin Consultancy, Gitit Info, Rose Valley, Cafe Coffee Day, Allsec Technologies, Kochar BPO participated in the fair.
The job fair drew around 386 candidates. Out of which 50 candidates were shortlisted. Shajan Samuel Divisional Head IIJT, said, “Government runs 1,400 odd employment exchanges, which are in appalling condition and have lost its relevance with changing times. Realising the insipid functioning of its exchanges across Karnataka, Karnataka Vocational Training and Skills Development Corporation and the Department of Employment and Training, have started to convert its District Employment Exchanges in to HRD Centres under a Public Private Partnership Model, four such Employment Exchanges are currently running on a Partnership model with IIJT.”
